Some Feelings from Greece

Dear Mr. Hazrat Maulana Abdus Sattar,
Firstly, I would like to thank you for your hospitality and for the time you spent with me. It was an experience that I will never forget and I look forward to come and see you again. I also read some of the Quran. Unfortunately, I don’t have much time but yet whenever possible, I study your magazines as well, which I enjoy very much.
I will always remember that the atmosphere in the mosque was very peaceful and I also keep recalling your telling me that most of the Muslim people have the same atmosphere at their homes. I wish one day I too accomplish the same at my house. You know in Europe we live in this capitalistic society in which if one wants to feel special, he has to pay. On the contrary, when I visited you, you made me feel special without anything in return from my side. And also you made me think very deeply.
Similarly, I want you to know that I think of you a lot and whenever I do something, I ask myself if you would agree with my actions or not.
I want to tell you a small story. Next to my house lives a priest. On my way to the office, he stopped me for he wanted to talk to me about our religion. I avoided him in a very polite manner by telling him that I was late for work, because I thought that what does he know about religion while he is living in a big house and is driving BMW, being caged in the shackles of materialism. My opinion is that people who are serving God should be spiritual and intellectual like yourself.
I believe that my visit to Pakistan made me think clearer and as I told you above, I look forward to come again. But next time will bring my colleague with me. Also on my colleague’s behalf, I would like to thank you for your prayers; his child is healthy again and returned home.
I do not want to waste more of your time with my thoughts. But I would like to ask you to add me in your prayers, if you remember me. And from my side I promise you that I will try to be a better person every day.
Thank you very much for everything. Please take care and look after yourself.

The Intellect – A Solution to Our Problems

Respected Editor,
Assalam-o-Alaikum
I am here to deliver my heartiest wishes for the whole team of the Intellect magazine. No doubt it is an excellent teamwork. Especially the work done by your graphic designer is superb and themes expressed by him are always wonderful; purposefully delivering the message to the readers. All the segments are admirable but “Personality Metamorphosis” and “Spiritual Discourse from Maulana Abdus Sattar Da’mat Barakatuhum” are the best and my favourite most. “In SpotLight” is also a valuable episode because it proves to be a great source of inspiration for the youth.
“The Intellect” as I think is the need of present times, for it suggests the solutions for problems being faced by the entire Muslim community today.
All my prayers and appreciations are with you. May Allah bless “The Intellect” progress by leaps and bounds. I only want to make a single suggestion that if it is possible then please increase the number of pages for “Real Heroes” up to four, as in my opinion the supreme deeds of our heroes are difficult to be summarised in two pages, although they need books to elaborate them, yet two pages are too less.
Also I wish if you can kindly make this magazine available here in Lahore, I am sure that you will receive a very healthy response.
I am very impressed with the overall efforts put in to run this superb magazine. It for sure is a lot of hard work and certainly The Intellect deserves a lot more words of praise than what I am writing here.

The First of its Kind

The Editor,
The Intellect Magazine.
Assalam-o-Alaikum
I would like to congratulate you and your entire team for the success of The Intellect Magazine. I have been reading The Intellect with great interest and I must say that this magazine is really the first of its kind. It surely has attracted a tremendous amount of attention and appreciation amongst the youth and our families. Interestingly, this magazine very well contradicts the view possessed by our society in general that obeying the laws of Shariah and moulding our lives according to the teachings of Islam cause hindrance in keeping up with the pace of the modern era.
Wishing you every success,
Sharhabeel Ali,
Karachi

Best Magazine!

To,
The Editor,
The INTELLECT
Assalam-O-Alaikum,
Many many congrats to the whole team of “The INTELLECT” magazine on publishing such an excellent educational issue.
This is indeed the best magazine for today’s youngsters. If youngsters practice the teachings of these valuable lessons, especially the topics of Hazrat Maulana Abdus Sattar Sahab, I think they will never fall into the wrong hands; with tools to escape from the evils of the society and the Straight Path clearly laid in front of them. May Allah give this magazine the greatest success and accept efforts from everyone of you.
W'salam,
Javeria Zeeshan

Well Done!

Assalam o alikum Editor
I recently had the opportunity to go through your magazine and I must say "WELL DONE" to your team for carrying out such an excellent work. I have never ever come across such an Islamic magazine with a wonderful layout, appearance, presentations and contents that are so very mind capturing. My Duas for all of the people who are indulged in its making and also for its readers.
There is a suggestion that kindly also have a column of short sayings of our Holy Prophet (saw), Hazrat Ali and other Noble Prophets as I think they are very beneficial in our everyday lives and sometimes a single message can change someone’s life.
Warm Regards,
Baheen Tarique

Small Note of Appreciation from India !

To,
Editor Intellect (entire team)

Good day, First of all I must congratulate you on your first issue of the magazine, honestly I have no words; really good work.
I never came across a magazine which covers such amazing spiritual topics in this manner. And then apart from the contents, a really good thing about this magazine is the quality of paper and printing. The colour combination is very fine. “Awakening of Islam” too good!
Hats off to the Editor for such a wonderful work. No one can say it is the first issue of a magazine. It surely looks like very experienced hands and thorough knowledge is behind all this.
Once again wish you all the best. Keep it up and am sure this magazine will go far ahead.
Best Regards,
Chetan Balhotra India

Excellent Work

Respected Imam Sahib Hazrat Abdus Sattar / Dear Brother Nasir Muneer / Sister Bint Zahid,

Assalam-o-Alaikum WR WB,
I hope all is well at your side. I received the copies of the Intellect Magazine and am extremely delighted to see an excellent work being carried out by the team associated with the Masjid, the School and the Magazine in particular. The quality of the Magazine, its contents and enlightening articlesand contributions are of great value to the readers.

I personally miss the company of great people like Imam Sahib since I moved to Dubai in 2005 and I am always finding a vacuum in my life after loosing the spiritual environment of Masjid Bait us Salam, including the great Ramadhan and its evening classes.

We request you all, especially Imam Sahib to remember all of us in prayers. Wassalam, Masoud Ali Khan Dubai.

Appreciation and Suggestion

To,
The Editor

I would first like to congratulate everyone working for this magazine. It is an excellent effort. I have gone through the magazine and find it to be entertaining as well as informative. There is only one humble suggestion that if the language of the articles is made simpler then many who are not well versed in English may also read it and understand it easily.
Sincerely,
Dr.Sohail Ahmed

Best Magazine

Assalamualeikum Editor,
I read your magazine and found it to be great!
Although I have read other Islamic magazines too but yours is definitely the best of all.
I liked every section of this magazine as they all have something different to offer and are very informative and interesting, especially the article on ‘Mothers’.

Keep it up. Jazakumullah khairen for providing such good reading material.

Rap and Gangster Culture

Assalamualeikum Editor,
Recently I bought the first issue of the Intellect Magazine. I am highly impressed and pray for its success.
I too would like to participate if possible.

After I read the interview of Junaid Jamshed in the spotlight, I thought there are many people like him who have left music for Islam, which is a very commendable thing.

Our society has been plagued by this curse of music. Even a person who prays five times a day is listening to it. I would like to bring to your attention that youngsters are getting involved in rap and gangster culture. This culture would eventually lead our young generation towards drug, alcohol and eventually death. If you really get to meet such kids they would say their source of inspiration is 2PAC (RAP SINGER), Eminen etc. But these kids do not know the consequences of leading such a life.

There is this guy in America… his name Mutah Wassin Shabazz Beale formerly known as Napolean. He was a good friend of 2PAC. He reverted to Islam years back ( Alhumdullilah) and has been heavily involved in Dawah. Mutah is addressing young muslims and non muslims in US and sharing his thoughts on music and Islam. I would appreciate if you could publish about his life before and after reverting to Islam. This act may change the views of those kids who are wrongly inspired by rap and gangster culture.

May Allah protect us from Shaytaan and show us the path of Truth. Ameen.
Muhammed Saad Kazi

The Intellect:
Jazakumullahu khairen to all for getting in touch with us. Truly, it is very encouraging to feel the goodwill and contribution of so many people. Intellect is a sparkling jewel found in every true believer of Islam. It is this natural thirst within us which is connecting us all to this magazine and thus, Alhamdulillah, we feel united. Aameen to your sincere Duas and we ask you to continue praying for us. Indeed, our greatest success is in Allah (swt) answering our prayers by guiding people and making them dedicated to the true Deen through our work. Barak Allahu Feekum.
